We hear you Julio!

We're trying to strike a balance between flexibility and ease of use. We believe a fixed number of labels with predefined colors covers the need of most users. Have you considered using Activities (see Timeline) to group different cards together? Maybe that suits your need?

I might have a good example from the issue stated above. I use the labels (colors) to tie the cards to subgroups. For example: in one project I have cards for:

  • Front-end developers
  • Back-end developers
  • Designers
  • Webmasters
  • Project managers
  • Must haves (but not assigned to somebody)
  • Nice to haves (but not assigned to somebody)
  • Other (not in a category above)

In this (live) example, I need 8 colors, but only got 7 available. The use of custom colors with a color picker would certainly work for me.

With the use of colors I can simply see what cards are front-end cards for example.
