Hi, in the latest release we added some logic so that the parent activity status is set based on the status of its children. It is set to done if all children are done, and when it is done it is grayed out as well in the calendar gantt view.

We will have the Plan tool as a focus area starting in October and we have added your input to a list of Plan improvements that we would like to implement. However, we have to do an internal prioritization between all the items on the list before we can communicate any dates.

Generated reports on plan status give false information in this scenario, therefore unable to utilize reporting for projects with sub-activities and creating manually instead. Is this change planned for this year as mentioned above?

Marking done for parent activity is needed in ProjectPlace plan asap to match the Work and resource management lines in Planview, we have integrated both Planview and Project place, we see a mismatch between this two due to this.
