Bug exists that allows activities to be flagged as done when associated to a board that still has open cards.
This means that the cards are no longer visible in the boards view, even if they are actually still open.
In overview screen on project level the total closed cards seems to be counted from closed activities (counting not closed cards as closed cards), however Innotas/PPM Pro still count them as open cards in details view.
I don't see why you can set an activity to "done" when associated cards are still "open"
Yes, this should be addressed. Causes inconsistencies for reporting and goes against project management principles for being able to close off an activity that is actually not really "done"
Hi Stine and Robert, we have discussed this a bit internally and are suggesting to display a warning message if someone tries to set an activity to Done where there are still cards open. This way we can prevent people from accidentally closing activities where cards are not done at the same time as we allow flexibility when there is an active decision to close an activity before it is fully completed. How do you feel about this suggestion?
In some cases Cards priority can be demoted and it is not completed or moved to Done Status on the Board although we want to signal that the Plan Activity is Done. I don't recommend preventing Plan Activity from being promoted to Done because all associated Cards have not been promoted to Board Done Status.
Going through and updating status of ideas according to our new way of working. New process works as follows:
1. When you post a new idea that we consider valid, we will label it 'Open to vote for', so that it can be shared with other users and start gathering votes
2. Ideas that are support-related, already exist in some manner or non-implemented ideas that are older than a year and that have not gathered enough votes will be Archived.
3. We keep some older ideas that we think are in line with something we are planning otherwise or that have gathered enough votes.
4. If there are duplication of ideas, we may archive one of them and keep another which can continue to gather votes.
5. Ideas that we are planning to implement will be moved into the category 'Accepted'
