Thanks for your feedback. I have the same problem with spam in one of my projects where the email address was put up on a public site for a little while.

You can contact us to get the email address changed for your project. This will only be a temporary solution though if the email address is public. A trick that I recently heard about is to put the email address in a javascript on your public page to prevent spammers from reading it in the code. You can read more about it here
